Skin Cleansers

Cleansers remove bacteria, dirt and makeup. It is important to have clean skin whenever you apply topical therapies for your skin so that you get the full benefit of the products you use. When selecting a skin cleanser you should avoid products containing “fragrance” and coloring.

Fragrances have been known to cause more allergic reactions than any other ingredient. Even products labeled “unscented” could contain fragrances to cover up other chemical smells. The word “Fragrance” is used as a general term, which can cover over 200 different chemicals that will not be listed in the ingredients. Your best bet is to look for facial cleansers containing “fragrance-free” or “without perfume”.

Choose a cleanser that matches your skin type – a gel based one for oily or acne prone skin, a crème based cleanser for normal to dry skin.

After cleansing your skin, it should feel soft and pliable, not dry and tight. Always rinse with lots of water after using a cleanser to ensure no residuals are present after completion of the cleansing process.

Skin Moisturizers

Moisturizers are meant to add moisture and to control loss of moisture of the skin. There are water based, cream based or a combination of types of moisturizers available. A quality moisturizer may also contain anti-oxidants, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and phyto stem cells, just to name a few wonderful ingredients that can be added to make you love your skin.
