It seems as if there is no limit to the positive effects exercise can have on one’s mental and physical health.  Of course, indirectly, there are many benefits of a positive mental attitude, and we all know how attractive a healthy, trim body is. But the question often arises, “Are there effects on the skin itself from a healthy diet and exercise?” Indeed there are!

Increased Your Heart Rate to Increase Your Youthfulness
Exercise increases the blood flow to the skin. Increased blood flow leads to increased cellular activity which, in turn, generates healthier, more elastic and youthful skin. Before getting started, be sure to cleanse your skin to remove any makeup or other products that may have been applied which could clog your pores while you work out.

Protect Yourself While You Improve Yourself

Don’t forget to take precautions when exercising outdoors either; be sure to apply sunscreen of at least 15 SPF to protect your skin lest negative effects of the sun’s rays might counteract the positive aspects of exercise! Oil free sunscreen is ideal. I also recommend you consider exercising outside of the time when the largest amount of UV rays are present, in the early morning or at dusk.

Exercise + Nutrition = Improved Complexion

Additionally, a balanced diet high in anti-oxidants can help prevent aging of the skin and reduce the damage induced by sunlight. Anti-oxidants can also be applied directly to the surface of the skin and have a similar protective effect as well.  Our skin care line utilizes anti-oxidants along with substances that improve the absorption into the skin.

Being physically active, protecting your skin and eating right can directly benefit your skin!
